recipe:
1 tin of chickpeas
2 tbsp of Tahini
1 or 2 small cooked beetroot
4 tbsp olive oil
2 tbsp water
lemon juice
salt, pepper, garlic powder and paprika to taste
beetroot hummus
A subtle twist on the classic with added nutrients from beetroot to keep you fueled throughout a long walk. Nitrate in beetroot is proven to enhance endurance. So an excellent reason to include more beets in your diet, be it in juice, pasta, or this hummus! Feel free to experiment with how much tahini, and other liquid in this recipe, in order to get your desired texture.
simply whizz up all the ingredients in a food processor and serve.
